At Avenue Cannabis,  we take the Direct Delivery service model in BC very seriously. 

 

BC is the only province that allows for the licensed retailer to buy directly from the producer!

Our procurement team scour the province to search for any murmur or whisper of any and all micro cultivators that might be able to grace the shelves of our West Vancouver shop!

The majority of our flower and bud in store are from a direct source in BC!

 

We offer our customers the freshest, most unique, and sometimes limited-batch exclusive products!

 

Sometimes we find a small batch craft grower that will offer up "smalls" product which is the smaller buds on the plant, not the larger "colas" you would find in the most premium craft products in store. Offering the customer special access to a craft product, without the premium price in many cases!

 

Consumer insight:

In BC this system has met with limited success due to a 15% handling fee that the BCLDB and Health Canada still take on direct delivery product , even though they do not handle them in any way.   In addition, retailers are forced to use transfers and other un secure forms of payment to acquire their DD product, rather than a credit card that would open up this sector to a much larger market share take.​
